The title of this essay reflect’s Sedaris’s speaking abilities in French. It refers to the fact that even though he is unable to speak french fluently now, he will able to speak french one day without any mistakes. It reflects the determination of the character to speak fluent french in the future if it puts in his hardwork

Sedaris’s main point in this essay is the way how his teacher’s abuse teaching allowed him to have an overall better comprehension of the French language since he does not understand what she is saying, but at the end its the abusive language that enlightened him to understand

In the essay of the “Don’t Blame the Eater’, the author examines how fast food or unhealthy food are contributing to the obesity of the children by using his own life example to support and introduce his argument. He suggest that children should have more healthier alternative to eat healthy food rather than fast food. He agrees that fast food have lack of nutrition information to remind customers the nutrition they are consuming, He also made a comparison with the warning charts with the tobacco package. ’There are no calories information charts on fast-food packaging, the way there are on grocery items. Advertisements don't carry warning labels the way tobacco ads do.’ The author also lists some example of food calories of fast food to support his argument of how serious it is that without nutrition label and it is very likely that the public are not aware of its calories which might cause the child to have obesity. ‘Without such warnings, we'll see more sick, obese children and more angry, litigious parents.
